Miss Belinda's Bordello

I think I found a great song to represent Miss Belinda's sinful Bordello.

Cryse Thorne

Having grown up in a small town in Texas, Cryse has always dreamed of traveling to far off countries and doing some major sight seeing. Moving to Queens, New York, for college is her very first chance to do just that. But sadly it won't be all fun and games like she'd like; she has to work as a maid to earn her keep.

Back in Texas, she lived alone with her father, her mother having long since been out of the picture. Despite the fact that her father was successful in owning his own bank, they never grew up with much money. Cryse never really got along with those at her previous school, but she was able to find a second home at the stables she worked at. She managed to save all of her paychecks for she didn't have a car, choosing to take the bus to school and walk to work. She was planning on using all of that money to start her traveling fund, but when she attended a fund raiser at a nearby animal shelter, she fell in love with a mustang -- of the horse kind. She still didn't have enough money on her own, so she made a contract with her father to pay him back what she borrowed with interest. She also made a deal with the stable owner she worked for, having him take out a portion of her paycheck to pay for rent. She named the horse, a girl, Elphaba, after the Wicked Witch of the West in Wicked the musical.

Growing up with ADHD, Cryse Thorne always had fun, except that she has this tendency to get lost easily. Her biggest fear is of not knowing where she is. She also hates cats, having been attacked by one when she was five years old. Plus, because they're natural scavengers, they'll eat your dead body if they get the chance.

One of her best friends is a man by the name of Calvin Dunagan, though she doesn't know him as well as she could, and he is a couple years older, too.

Dead Night

Wanted: Live-in maid for vampires. Must be good with dogs.

"He pushed me up against the wall, his hot breath fanning my face. As he leaned in to kiss me, his hands roamed my body, leaving no space untouched. My fingers knotted themselves in his hair and I moaned between our kisses. His lips moved away from mine, his grip on me growing tighter. Soon, I could feel his teeth against my neck."

Leaving home for the first time, Cryse Throne is headed to New York where her friend snagged her a job as a maid for the mysterious "Master Valentine". It may just be her ADHD running off with her mind -- once again -- but it seems that things in her new home aren't quite right. As of lately, there are more shady guests that usual, all who have their own secretive agendas. And it may all be in her head, but Cryse is almost certain that Valentine has been checking her out. Does she even want him to be checking her out? Most certainly yes.

Thomas Merchant

Being born as Thomas Carver, him and his family were rich enough to have two homes, one in Dragon Stone, the other in Dragon's Harbor. Coming from a long line of merchants, Thomas took after his father well, though he did hate to travel. At each home he'd get to spend maybe two months each, the rest of the year was spent traveling between the two.

Since he was a little boy, he always spent the summer in Dragon Stone with a girl named Cassia. Through those two months that flew rather quickly for him, they were inseparable. Cassia even asked him to marry her when they were six.

By the time he was twenty-one and first arrived back at Dragon Stone, Thomas found his Cassia to be engaged to another. He had sulked off, looking for comfort elsewhere, which is when he found himself at the Trader's Alehouse run by a man named Colt. There, he was able to get a room above the tavern, which was the home to Colt and Boltteg.

After the first month there, the three became good friends. That's when he met Luther, a man in love with a woman he couldn't have. Being able to easily sympathize with him, he found he was constantly giving Luther advice, which he decided to take himself. He found Cassia, declared his love for her, and she ran away from her fiance to stay with him above Colt's tavern. They became engaged themselves soon after.

After he and his good friends became immortal, Thomas whisked his human fiancee away and they traveled to distant lands in Avellana. They were married. Though Thomas never aged, Cassia did, and when she was in her early thirties, she died of natural causes.

Having to spend the rest of forever alone, Thomas moved further south in Avellana where he bought an expanse of land. That's where he started his home where he could live in solitude and grieve over his lost Cassia.

A few years later, Luther, Colt and Boltteg came to Thomas, seeking to create a pack to help protect themselves against the Queen's crusade on all the immortals who wouldn't bow down to her. Thomas' land became a sanctuary for the four of them. And soon after that, Luther brought his pack of werewolves with him. Thomas then named the land the Merchant's Isle. Though Luther was an Alpha, he always treated Thomas as if he were above himself, and soon his pack did too.

After the fall of Avellana and the four territories that sprang up around the Isle, Thomas had twenty feet high walls built up around the land to keep out anyone who could intrude. But into all of the new territories, there is one secret passage for each where their own can use to travel outside the Isle.

Being proud of what they created, Thomas, Luther, Colt and Boltteg, changed their last names to Merchant.
